FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 21

AUSTRALIA, CALIFORNIA

Tasting Host: Jon Gilligan, Constantine Wine

4 pm – 7 pm

2005 First Drop First Love White ~ Australia
86 pts, Wine Spectator

This white is a lovely blend of Semillon, Riesling, and Viognier. First Love White is probably just as ethereal, racy, and mysterious as your first love. Lively minerality counter-punches a luscious peach and gentle orchard fruitiness. Bottle Sale Price: $12.99

Ramblin’ White ~ California
A lively and fresh wine. This blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Riesling offers floral aromas and ripe citrus on the nose. Flavors of peach and apricot, with hints of stone and mineral, complete the palate. Bottle Sale Price: $9.99

Ramblin’ Red Cuvee One ~ California
A great tasting California Cabernet-Syrah-based blend. Deep garnet red, with rich aromas of chocolate, raspberry, and spice. Big in the mouth, yet not over ripe. Accents of oak and a plummy fruit finish. Bottle Sale Price: $9.99

2006 Rabbit Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon Barrel Cuvee ~ California
Aged in oak barrels and blended for optimum color and fruit, this California Cabernet is rich, complex, and pleasing, pairing perfectly with meat and poultry dishes. In keeping with the concept of the Rabbit Ridge Barrel Cuvee line, this wine is made to be enjoyed young. Expect lush flavors of black currant, cedar, and herbs. Bottle Sale Price: $12.99

2006 Rabbit Ridge Merlot Barrel Cuvee ~ California
Aged for nearly two years in American and French oak barrels, this Merlot was blended to give it complexity, depth, and tannic structure while leaving the finish soft and round. Full-bodied, it pairs well with meat, poultry, and pasta dishes, yet its soft, concentrated fruit make it delightful to enjoy by the glass. Anticipate pleasant flavors of black cherry, cassis, and cloves combined with toasty vanilla from the oak aging. In keeping with the concept of the Rabbit Ridge Barrel Cuvee line, this Merlot is made to be enjoyed immediately. Bottle Sale Price: $12.99

2006 Rabbit Ridge Zinfandel Barrel Cuvee ~ California
This wine was fermented and then pressed into both new and used French and American oak barrels for months. A small amount of Syrah was blended in for added complexity. Expect bold jam and blackberry flavors with a hint of soft oak and vanilla. Enjoy this Zinfandel by the glass or with a variety of cuisine. In keeping with the concept of the Rabbit Ridge Barrel Cuvee line, this Zinfandel is made to be enjoyed young. Bottle Sale Price: $12.99

2007 Ricossa Moscato D’Asti DOCG ~ Italy
Nice semi-sparkler with only 5.5% alcohol content by volume. Fills the mouth with peach, grape, apricot, honey, Meyer lemon, and apple flavors. The gentle sweetness is nicely balanced with tart apple and lemon flavors and leads into a long, lingering finish. Perfect with fruit tarts. Bottle Sale Price: $13.99

2007 Domaine de Menard Côtes de Gascogne Blanc Colombard-Sauvignon ~ France
Fragrant and filled with acacia and beautiful tropical fruit, this crisp and fresh blend from southwest France will please every seafood lover. Also great as an aperitif. Bottle Sale Price: $9.99

2007 foxglove chardonnay

SPECIAL THANKSGIVING TASTING

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 26

CALIFORNIA, SPAIN

Tasting Host: Jon Gilligan, Constantine Wine

4 pm – 7 pm

2007 Foxglove Chardonnay ~ California
90 pts, Robert Parker, Wine Advocate

Perhaps the great value in Chardonnay in the marketplace today! This cuvee provides terrific notes of tropical fruit and poached pear in a fleshy, medium-bodied style with obvious minerality and precision. This is a remarkable effort that is fresh, lively, and best drunk over the next 1-2 years. Bottle Sale Price: $16.99

2007 Bogle Riesling ~ California
The balancing act of crisp acidity and residual sweetness duels seductively on the palate. Fresh green apple and pear predominate, while spicy tones of clove and allspice lend a pleasant and luscious thickness. Hints of honeyed blossoms add a layer of complexity to a lovely and enjoyable wine. With its fresh fruit and bracing acidity, it is no wonder Riesling has become a favorite yet again. Bottle Sale Price: $11.99

2004 Reymos Sparkling Muscat ~ Spain
A light, refreshing, slightly sparkling Muscat from Spain. Easy to drink, this is a perfect wine to mix with fruit juice for Sunday Brunch. Bottle Sale Price: $14.99

2006 Bogle Pinot Noir ~ California
Bright violet and cherry impressions are followed by subtle cocoa and toasty oak notes. The finish shows structure with finesse and aromas of earth and pomegranate. Bottle Sale Price: $18.99

2005 Lolonis Redwood Valley Zinfandel ~ California
A full and rich Zinfandel with distinctive flavors of cassis, blackberry, plum, and black peppercorn with a background note of spicy oak. A great Zin for serving with barbecued meats, grilled vegetables, and Portobello mushrooms or eggplant. Will drink best 2008 through 2010, or decant for immediate drinking. Bottle Sale Price: $22.99

2004 Sebastiani Merlot, Late Bottled Vintage ~ California
Because of the extra hang-time of the fruit, this wine achieves full ripeness, yet maintains elegance and drinkability due to the coolness of the vintage. Dark garnet in color, it presents loads of fruit upfront, with cranberry and black cherry aromas mixing with herbal, tea-like, and toasted-oak nuances. Cherry flavors predominate and lead into a nice, smooth finish. Serve this charming wine with chicken, light curry dishes, beef, and pasta. Bottle Sale Price: $15.99
