Join us November 20 for the first-ever Frederick Wine House Champagne and Sparkling Wines Class. In light of the approaching holidays, we will be tasting and learning about 10 different sparkling wines from all over the world—from everyday bubbly to Vintage Champagne. Beginning with the great value sparklings, we will learn about the different places and people who make these fabulous wines, and also about which everyday foods they typically are paired with. We will taste bubbly from the most unlikely states in the United State and from new up-and-coming regions like South Africa. To finish, we will taste three artisan-produced Champagnes in Blanc de Blanc, Brut Rose, and Vintage styles and learn why Champagne is the greatest sparkling wine in the world. Chef Christine Van Bloem will prepare a few dishes to pair with different wines and talk about how she goes about cooking for sparkling wines. |
