WHAT WE'RE ABOUTfloor space

In the not so distant past—2008 to be exact—Gary Zorechak and Barb Valenti put brick and mortar to their concept of what a wine store should be like. They opened Frederick Wine House, giving Frederick a signature store offering wines from around the world at favorable prices. People came, liked what they saw, and came again. Some came so often they now are employees.

In May 2011 the duo relocated their growing store to the Clemson Corner Shopping Center. A stone’s throw from the new Wegmans, the store has expanded leaps and bounds in size and ideas. Using Skype technology, Gary and Barb bring brewmasters and winemakers near and far to the store for free interactive tastings. Recession Busters—mixed cases of wine sold at steeply discounted prices—give a reprieve from a dour economy.

In September 2011, Gary and Barb stocked the store’s Beer Cave and shelves with domestic and craft beers that go with just about anything.

WINE. Frederick Wine House takes pride in bringing you wines at discount prices. Whether you purchase an entire case of wine, or just a bottle or two, you buy at the case price per bottle—an instant savings for you.

BEER. Because customers may not want a full case of the same beer and may want to experiment with new ones, Frederick Wine House offers discount pricing on mixed cases of beer.

SENIORS & DISCOUNT TUESDAYS. Frederick Wine House offers “10 percent Tuesdays” for customers 55 years of age and older to save them 10 percent on their wine purchases on that day of the week.
